If you aren’t already aware of the amazing retrogaming books from Bitmap Books then I’d like to rectify that now. Sam Dyer has done a sterling job so far creating four beautiful art books showcasing the game art of the Commodore 64, Amiga, Spectrum and NES. This time he moves on to give the SNES some love.
I’ve got all four of the previous books and they truly are things of beauty. Check out some pictures below. The Spectrum one in particular is incredible.
The SNES one is going to be another behemoth coming in at over 500 pages. I think Sam reached his Kickstarter goal in a matter of minutes again, but it’s all about the stretch goals now. If he gets a few more backers then it will reach the £175k stretch goal of getting the lenticular cover that was on the NES book. I personally would love to get that again, so please do back the Kickstarter if you have any interest in getting the book. There is also a surprise perk if it hits £200k and I’m curious to see what that might be!
Here is some more info on the current Kickstarter campaign. Check it out.
