This video game system (the actual one in this picture) is the very first one that we had in our household when I was a kid. It was essentially a Pong clone (one of many that came out at that time) and had the choice of three sports: Football, Tennis and Squash. Basically each sport just changed the number of bats you had. So, so simple and yet back in the late 70s/early 80s this was absolutely mesmerising. Just the ability to plug something into your TV and interact with it seemed like witchcraft. This model was very popular in European countries at the time and was one of the biggest Pong clones around.

We had one of these. It probably was my spark into tech. Later a BBC B Micro which I mainly programmed but loved Asteroids loaded from a cassette tape.
