Notes:
This was so exciting to me as a child. A ball that moved in an unpredictable way. It was like it was alive. Obviously I now know it just has a big steel ball inside, slightly off-centre to make it move strangely, but at the time it was awesome. There’s actually hardly anything at all about this online now. I can’t even find out what year it was released. This makes me think it must have only been made in the UK and only been available for a short time. If anyone knows if it was available further afield then please let me know.

Well the advert exists, and I seem to recall it being heavily advertised at the time.

Awesome. Yes, I found that online recently actually. Brings back lots of memories. Couldn’t really find much else online though. Thanks a lot for posting.

I got knocked out by one of these as a kid. I was walking through the playground at home time and somebody kicked the Impossi-ball through the air. But of course it veered wildly and caught me right in the head.
I recall an orange ball heading right for me, then nothing at all. The next thing I knew I was at home with stitches in my head.
Gotta love 80’s toys…

I had one of these. Bloody loved it. It ended up crumbling because I had it so long!

Still remember I got mine from hamley’s. But mine was pinker? Brought to school one day and damaged by a kid. ery annoyed and sad then. Actually the surface is quite soft and prone to scratches.

I’ve been trying to remember what that was called. I even asked on Reddit and didn’t get any replies.
Thank you so much for sharing this!

I loved mine too. There was great peril in having a kick about with it out in the road! It was a kind if weird foam material outside I can’t imagine many survived well. Lots were probbaly confiscated by bruised parents too!
