One of the most iconic movies from the 80s and one that has a huge cult following. I can remember sitting in the cinema in 1984 and even before the film started the whole theatre started spontaneously singing the Ray Parker Jr theme song and clapping along. What an atmosphere there was for this film and everyone was just totally blown away. The iconography and concept was great for kids but there was also a darker side that appealed to adults too. And everyone loves Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis anyway. Top that off with cutting edge special effects and you have an instant classic. One of the best of all time in terms of how much it resonated with popular culture.
