So many of us were OBSESSED with this game. First when it would destroy our pocket money on the arcade machine at Guildford sports centre (long before the spectrum, there’s an Odeon cinema there now), then when released on our 8-bit machines it was mental. I had an Amstrad CPC 6128 which had a wicked version, although C64 nobs and Speccy prats would disagree no doubt. I received my copy for my 14th birthday whilst in Australia on holiday for a month and had to wait another fortnight to play it, dammit.

This is the greatest game ever. We used to be on vacation in Denmark back in 86 or 87. One Gauntlet Arcade was standing in a restaurant and we played together, my Dad (Wizard), my Mom (Valkyrie) and me as 8 0r 9 year old as warrior. Later my dad an me used to play it on C64 and Amiga, one of my favorite childhood memories. After that we visited Kent in the following years once in a while and I used to spend my pocketmoney in the pleasure parks and arcades in Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Unfortunately those arcade machines never had a chance in Germany.
Since then I am a passionate gamer.
I am looking all over Europe to get a working Gauntlet Arcade, but sadly its hard in Germany.
I love this gem and it will always have a special place in my heart.

    Greetings from Germany
